Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This page explains when a pledge is refunded and when it is not.
| Pledge completed (two or fewer slip days) | Full refund of the amount you pledged, to the same UPI account, card or bank account you paid with. |
|---|---|
| Pledge not completed (a third slip day) | No refund. The amount is donated to registered NGO partners, less only the payment gateway and bank charges (2.36%). |
| Payment failed or charged twice | Refunded in full automatically by Razorpay, or by us as soon as we see it. |
When a completed pledge is refunded
We start your refund as soon as day 30 is confirmed. That is usually right after day 30 ends, once your phone has synced it (at most 7 days later if it hasn't). Your bank or card issuer then takes 5 to 7 working days to show it in your account. Refunds always go back to the original payment method; we cannot send them anywhere else.
Cancelling a pledge
- Before you pay: you can stop at any point and nothing is charged.
- After you pay: a running pledge cannot be cancelled or refunded early. The commitment is what makes it work. You can stop using the apps, keep the pledge and get it back on day 30.
- If you delete the Detox30 app or turn off usage access during a pledge, the days it can't measure count as slip days, as described in the terms.
If something went wrong
If you were charged but your pledge didn't start, were charged the wrong amount, or believe a day was recorded wrongly because of a fault in Detox30, write to us within 7 days (see Contact) with your phone number and payment reference. We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and fix genuine errors in full.
Where donations go
Money from pledges that are not completed goes to registered charitable organisations (NGOs) chosen by Detox30. Detox30 does not keep any part of it beyond the payment charges above.
